In his usual entertaining fashion, Willis Eschenbach explains why placing taxes on fossil fuels to decrease their use, and thereby abate climate change, is a bad idea, particularly for the poor. I particularly liked the comparison he drew between the 1 kilowatt the average person can generate in a 10 hour day of hard work and the low cost of acquiring that same kilowatt from the grid.
